Product Information
This class is a perfect follow on class to our small wave and tealight classes. In this class you can have the opportunity to work with solid glass and gain some cutting experience, depending on your design.
You will create your design on a 6 inch round (design area) round piece of glass. You will learn how to place your design on the glass for maximum impact on the round. Using small pieces of glass, glass paint, frit, stringers, and glass dots to embellish your work.
In this class you will make one roundel. A variety of template designs are provided, but you are more than welcome to bring your own design to fit the above dimensions.

Your class includes our delicious afternoon tea in our tearoom, which includes:
A selection of sandwiches (ham, egg & tuna),quiche, cake and a plain scone with jam and cream. Served with unlimited Yorkshire Tea. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and savoury options available. Please mention any food allergies on your booking form.
Morning classes, we book your afternoon tea for you to enjoy at the end of your class, Afternoon classes, your afternoon tea will be booked before your class. We will book your table for you.. You can also opt to book your afternoon tea for your glass collection date or take your afternoon tea away with you. Just let us know prior to your class date.
Cost
This class is £65pp
We only book 6 people per class to allow for 1:1 cutting support as required.
Suitability
This is an advanced class and whilst experience is not required, we would recommend attending a tealight or small wave class to gain some glass handling experience for you to achieve the best results . Ages 16 and upwards only due to cutting & nipping glass techniques with tile cutters.
Do I need to bring anything?
For safety reasons, please ensure you wear closed toe shoes. Wear something comfortable and avoid anything that will drape in your work such as a long flowing sleeves.
All your glass, stands, materials and tools are provided.
What are the class times?
This class is 2 hours long. We can offer morning classes at 10.30am and afternoon classes at 1.00pm. The time of the class will be shown on the booking calendar when you select your date.
Collecting your work
Your work will be fired after your class in our kiln and is usually ready for collection within 7-14 days. We will email you when your work is ready for collection. If you are unable to collect your work straight away please let us know and we will store it safely for you. Jane will ask you for one preferred contact email per booking during your class. Let us know if you would like to book a table in our tearoom on your collection day.
Accessibility
We will try to make our classes accessible to all however if you have any disabilities or physical limitations of any kind we ask that you discuss it with us before booking. This course is on the ground floor of of an external building opposite our showroom and tearoom.

Our Cancellation Policy
GLASS FUSING WORKSHOPS – TERMS & CONDITIONS CANCELLATION- We understand that things can go wrong, and something might occur which prevents you from attending your workshop. If you do cancel your place once paid for, this is what we can offer:
Cancel 1 month or more before your scheduled date; We will offer an alternative date of your choice subject to places available. Cancel less than 1 month before scheduled date; We will make all attempts to fill your place and if we are successful we will offer an alternative specific date to attend. If we are not successful in filling your place we cannot offer a new date but you are of course entitled to pass on your place to someone else. Alternative date cancellation: if your booking is an alternative date due to you moving your original booking we cannot offer another date. In the extremely unlikely event that we need to cancel a workshop ourselves, we will offer you a choice of alternative dates. We cannot be held liable for any other costs you may incur as a result of the cancellation (eg accommodation booking).
HEALTH & SAFETY - The glass you will be using will already be cut to size for you, but in a glass workshop environment there is always the possibility of getting glass cuts or picking up small glass splinters. Some of our shorter workshops are suitable for children aged 10 or over, but they must be accompanied by an adult if under the age of 16.
LIABILITY - We will provide a health and safety briefing at the beginning of the workshop. We do have Public Liability insurance but cannot be held responsible for any illness or injury that occurs from not following the health and safety guidance given.
