Product Information
This class is perfect if you just want fun creating and are not ready to learn how to cut glass. You get the opportunity to be creative using glass paint, frit, stringers, and glass dots to embellish your work. You will not be cutting glass due to the class size.
In this class you get to make two item, choosing from:
6 inch x 2.5 inch Mini Wave (design area).
2.5 inch x 4 inch Mini Suncatcher (design area).
2.5 inch x 4 inch Mini Tealight (design area).
A variety of template designs are provided, but you are more than welcome to bring your own design to fit the above dimensions.
Note:
Wave designs are fired twice in our kiln, the first firing is to hold the design, the 2nd firing is what we call a slump firing to create the wave effect. Firing for waves takes longer than suncatchers and tealights.
Our Tearoom
Whilst this is a class only booking, you can upgrade to afternoon tea with your booking. We offer afternoon tea upgrade for classes £16pp (pre booking only). You can add this offer to your booking.
You can also book a table in our tearoom and enjoy ordering from our delicious menu, cakes & bakes. We recommend pre booking a table to avoid disappointment. This can be done using the tearoom link or by contacting us.
Cost
This class is £33pp
If you wish to make more than two items during the class time, we charge an additional £15 per item (to be paid on the day).
Partner Gift Vouchers
We accept Buy a Gift, Red Letter and This is the Coast Vouchers on these class dates. Please select your date and contact us to book. These vouchers cannot be used to book online. These vouchers come with afternoon tea in our tearoom. We will book your table for you.
Suitability
This class is suitable for beginners and advanced. Ages 10 and upwards (10-16 years must be accompanied by an adult).
We allow 8 people in this class. Due to the class size, cutting skills will not be available in this class.
Do I need to bring anything?
For safety reasons, please ensure you wear closed toe shoes. Wear something comfortable and avoid anything that will drape in your work such as a long flowing sleeves.
All your glass, materials and tools are provided.
What are the class times?
This class is 1.5 hours long. We can offer morning classes at 10.30am and afternoon classes at 1.00pm. The times of the class will be shown on the booking calendar when you select your date.
Collecting your work
Your work will be fired after your class in our kiln and is usually ready for collection within 7-14 days. We will email you when your work is ready for collection. If you are unable to collect your work straight away please let us know and we will store it safely for you. Jane will ask you for one preferred contact email per booking during your class. Let us know if you would like to book a table in our tearoom on your collection day.
Accessibility
We will try to make our classes accessible to all however if you have any disabilities or physical limitations of any kind we ask that you discuss it with us before booking. This course is on the ground floor of of an external building opposite our showroom and tearoom.

You can purchase a digital voucher via our website that can be redeemed online. Vouchers purchased from our showroom can be used to book a class via email or phone. A booking is not confirmed until the voucher has been validated against a specific date.
Our Cancellation Policy
GLASS FUSING WORKSHOPS – TERMS & CONDITIONS CANCELLATION- We understand that things can go wrong, and something might occur which prevents you from attending your workshop. If you do cancel your place once paid for, this is what we can offer:
Cancel 1 month or more before your scheduled date; We will offer an alternative date of your choice subject to places available. Cancel less than 1 month before scheduled date; We will make all attempts to fill your place and if we are successful we will offer an alternative specific date to attend. If we are not successful in filling your place we cannot offer a new date but you are of course entitled to pass on your place to someone else. Alternative date cancellation: if your booking is an alternative date due to you moving your original booking we cannot offer another date. In the extremely unlikely event that we need to cancel a workshop ourselves, we will offer you a choice of alternative dates. We cannot be held liable for any other costs you may incur as a result of the cancellation (eg accommodation booking).
HEALTH & SAFETY - The glass you will be using will already be cut to size for you, but in a glass workshop environment there is always the possibility of getting glass cuts or picking up small glass splinters. Some of our shorter workshops are suitable for children aged 10 or over, but they must be accompanied by an adult if under the age of 16.
LIABILITY - We will provide a health and safety briefing at the beginning of the workshop. We do have Public Liability insurance but cannot be held responsible for any illness or injury that occurs from not following the health and safety guidance given.
